Gen Z education.
I
must write so I can speak. I fear destruction and ruin for a country and
civilization I love: America. Many cultures and nations fall and rise on one
principle: remembering. Remembering the past so the future may be safe.
Remember the principles and virtues that make a society flourish and grow like
a beautiful garden. Why does a simple act of memory save or doom a nation?
Because if you don’t know where you came from, you are doomed to repeat the
failures of the past. Why do certain things work in building a bridge and
other things make it crumble? Why did the Aztecs sacrifice babies in blood
rituals, and the Spaniards stop them? Why did the Spaniards have steel and
Aztec warriors wear jaguar skin while wielding obsidian blades?
Today
in America, her youth does not know the past. They do not know why they live in
abundance of material goods and food. They have iPhones with unlimited
computing power; scientists in ancient Babylon and Alexandria would weep if
they had such devices. But they use them to rot their minds with nihilism and
garbage music. They have ten thousand books from the Library of Alexandria at
their fingertips, yet they are more ignorant of history than their fellow
citizens were 100 years ago.
If
you ask them a simple question about the history of America or Europe, they
stare at you blankly as they pour sour patch kids on their tongues. Why is
Generation Z such an ignoramus? The system. The education system is full of
lazy educators and school bureaucrats who spend more time on social justice
than basic math and reading. Deny that fact? Look at the results of 30 years of
math and reading test scores. Has the level of reading and math gone up in the
last thirty years or down? Down! Down to the bottom of the ocean, where foggy
headed Z’s pollute their minds with weed and trap music. The lack of proper
socialization is the worst in a hundred years. Decorum and etiquette are
non-existent, non-learned, and non-practiced among a legion of millions of
ignorant teens and young adults.
What
led to these mindless zombies vaping and screaming into the wind as they fixed
their mindless tic-tac addiction with their electronic devices? Institutions.
All American institutions have failed. From the church to the schools. All have
failed. They let these savages stab teachers, fail at school, and fail at basic
humanity. Many of them are so socially awkward you would think they were born
in a barn. No upbringing. No guidance. No mentors. They are more socially
awkward than the last generations of Americans in a hundred years. A fat diet
of electronics with little or no human contact has atrophied their brains.
How
do we turn this thing around? I don’t know. But I do know what isn’t helping.
The teachers unions are the mafia of the 21st century. They have done more
damage to America than Al-Qeada did on 9/11. They have rotted the brains of
tens of millions of young Americans. Like a vampire, the teachers unions see
children as a source of blood money to gorge themselves on. They don’t give a
damn about education or test results.
In
order to save America and future generations, we must destroy the teachers
unions. Bring back teaching based results. A bad teacher should be fired. They
should not get a raise while failing our kids. And it’s not from a lack of
funding or tax money. America spends the most per capita per student on the
planet. And yet we get worse and worse education and results. Other countries
are kicking our butts at education, yet they spend less per capita. There are
children from New York to Los Angeles who are functionally illiterate. 80% of
NYC high school "graduates" needed to relearn basic reading. Twenty
percent of American adults are illiterate. Let me repeat that again. Twenty
percent of adults in America can’t read!
If
people can’t even read, how can we solve the problems facing America? Basic
education in reading has long lasting implications and consequences for a
civilization; from economic to infrastructure, everyone needs to know how to
read. Are we going back to a dark age where Irish monks read books in candlelit
churches? I sure hope not.
